Science Slam on Inequality

As part of the social programme the RC28 committee would like to invite you to participate in a science slam competition with a free drink for presenters and the winner receiving a prize.

The competition will take place on Wednesday the 20thof May from 18:30-20:30 at the Gastropub Koulu (school) in Turku City Centre.

The topic of the science slam is:

How can we change/reduce inequalities

The science slam includes short scientific talks (3 mins in length) that are easy to follow and afterwards the audience gets to vote who presented their topic the best.

The important thing is not only the content (=incl. science and making world better) but also to explain it in an understandable, entertaining and concise way.

Presenters can include one or two slides and or a prop of their choice to aid their talk.

Registration for the competition is now open.

If you are interested in giving a talk you will need to send us a short punchline based on your research here.

Let’s see what we can do to change the world!
